Natsu Matsuri AR is an immersive AR project that pays homage to the vibrant Japanese summer festival season. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions and joyous celebrations, this installation combines physical objects, evocative soundscapes, and augmented reality to offer visitors a multisensory experience that captures the essence of Natsu Matsuri (ๅค็ฅญใ). The project consists of three separate AR componentsโa Yagura stage, watermelons and goldfish.
The 2023 Marcus Exhibition features art works that encourage Montalvoโs visitors to lose track of time and discover the joy of engaging in creative contemplation. The participating artists explore themes of care and rebuilding, joy and ancestry, creation and sustainable innovation. As Montalvo continues to foster a sense of community where all people can find enrichment through the arts, visitors can gather and find their own sense of belonging by exploring the works presented on our grounds.
This year’s event features works from four artists including Corinne Okada Takaraโs ๐๐ก๐ค๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฤซ๐ฅ๐ช๐ ๐, Inez Storerโs mixed media paintings, and two newly commissioned works that will be illuminated as the night falls: Carole Kimโs ๐พ๐๐จ๐๐๐๐ and Akiko Yamashitaโs ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ช ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ช๐ง๐ ๐ผ๐: ๐ผ ๐๐ช๐ก๐ฉ๐-๐๐๐ฃ๐จ๐ค๐ง๐ฎ ๐ ๐ค๐ช๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ก๐ ๐ค๐ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐จ.
